My Photo

I just graduated with a degree in international studies from the University of Mississippi. As an undergrad I studied abroad three times in China and once in South Korea. At university I was a student in the federally-funded Mandarin Chinese Language Flagship program.
I've lived in Qingdao and Hangzhou, China and Suwon, South Korea. I have had the chance to travel extensively across Korea, and in Zhejiang and Jiangsu provinces in China. I've made it almost to the Chinese-Pakistani border (in Xinjiang province), and I hope to go back again.
I began this blog to keep my family and friends updated with my life while I'm away from my home state, Mississippi.
In my spare time, I enjoy reading, cooking, painting, brushing up on Chinese and Korean, and sewing. I live in the great state of Mississippi.
